Day 1: Tarangire National Park
Early morning, after breakfast, you will be taken for a ride to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is considered as one of the best places to view elephants up close, not only because there are thousands of animals but also because they are not disturbed by the presence of vehicles. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. In the late afternoon you will leave the park and drive to your accommodation to spend the night.
Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning, after breakfast, you will check out and venture to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The massive collapsed volcano crater is a home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and more than 500 bird species. After picnic lunch, you will descend into crater floor for a game drive. Later in the afternoon you will be taken to your accommodation for dinner and overnight at Karatu.
Day 3: Lake Manyara to Arusha
After breakfast, we will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park, one of the smallest wildlife reserves in Tanzania, but very interesting. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s bird life, with more than 400 species have been recorded. If you are lucky, you will have opportunity to see tree climbing lions. Later in the afternoon after game viewing, you will be transferred to Arusha, where this safari ends.
