Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
In the morning, after breakfast you will departure your hotel and after an approximate 2 hour drive you will arrive at the Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is considered as one of the best places to view elephants up close, not only because there are thousands of animals but also because they are not disturbed by the presence of vehicles. The park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen now and then but cheetahs are rarely spotted. From the open roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the landscape and watch the animals. In the late afternoon you will leave the park and drive to your accommodation to spend the night.
Day 2: Tarangire to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park, which will take about 1.5 hours. On the way, you will have the opportunity to visit a Maasai Market. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s bird life, with more than 400 species have been recorded. If you are lucky, you will have opportunity to see tree climbing lions. After the late afternoon after game viewing, you will be escorted to your accommodation for overnight.
Day 3: Lake Manyara (Mto wa mbu Cultural Tour)
Your stay at Manyara continues with visit to Mto wa Mbu where you will enjoy traditional African food, prepared by local woman. Mto wa Mbu is a local agricultural hub, it is famous for cultivating rice and the unique red bananas. A half-day tour of the town in the company of a local guide will give you the opportunity to interact with local farmers, as well as artisans, craftsmen and painters. You should definitely try local banana beer and its unique taste. In the afternoon you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will travel to the southern parts of Serengeti National Park, and around noon should reach the plains of the most famous wildlife reserve on the planet. Serengeti is the ultimate safari destination, with its endless plains and sights you have seen many times on TV, while watching the wildlife shows where lions or leopards are hunting their prey. You will have opportunity to up close and personal meet these magnificent animals in their natural environment. The park, together with Maasai Mara in Kenya is a main route of the great annual wildebeest migration, when millions of grazers start their journey in pursuit of the fresh grass in the south. You will surely enjoy every minute spent in this safari paradise.
Day 5: Full Day Game Drive at Serengeti National Park
This day is fully reserved for game drives around Serengeti national park.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Early morning, after breakfast, you will check out and venture to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The massive collapsed volcano crater is a home to over 25,000 mammals ranging from the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard to spotted hyenas, rare wild dogs and more than 500 bird species. After picnic lunch, you will descend into crater floor for a game drive. Later in the afternoon you will be taken to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Ngorongoro to Arusha
Early in the morning, we shall have another game drive for you within the crater, before we start the drive to Arusha, where our service ends. We can take you to some hotel to spend the night, or drive you to the airport for your flight home. In case you have more time to spare, we can organize some other activities for you, maybe even few days of Zanzibar beach leisure.
